Terms of Hire

Drivers must be over 21 and under 75 but vary with different vehicles.

The daily rate refers to a 24hr hire period from 8am - 8am.

We operate a no-smoking policy in all of our vehicles.

For our insurance to be valid we will need to take a photocopy of your driving licence (photo card) and two recent utility bills.

Late returns are charged at £10 per hour up to the first three hours. Thereafter a daily rate is charged.

Rates include fully comprehensive insurance and full RAC breakdown cover.

Motoring offences, congestion charges and fines are the responsibility of the hirer.

All major debit and credit cards are accepted.

An accident report must be completed if the hirer is involved in any collision.

Please share your driving license via the DVLA website before you take receipt of one of our self-hire vehicles - this can be done online via: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence.

Refund Policy

Reservations confirmed and pre-paid online:

If you cancel your pre-paid reservation within 24 hours of placing the booking Cotswold Vehicle Hire will issue a full refund. If you cancel your reservation more than 24 hours from time of making the booking no refund will be made. All bookings cancelled less than 48 hours from the pick up date and time are non refundable.

Please note if appropriate I.D., the necessary payment/deposit is not produced at time of pick up or the Terms and Conditions are not adhered to in any way, and the rental cannot proceed, no refund will be made. Cancellations may be made on this website and a cancellation number will be emailed to you - please retain this for your records.

NB: No cancellations can be made on the website after the rental start date & time. In these instances you should request the pick up location to action on your behalf.

If you do not collect your vehicle at the time specified on the prepaid rental voucher, no refund will be made.

The Cotswold Vehicle Hire location will, however, hold your rental vehicle available for you for 4 working hours after the time of the reservation (unless this is outside the renting location's opening hours).

Fuel Policy

All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of the hire. Customers may:

• All hirers are to return the vehicle with a full tank of diesel. The fuel cost, plus a £10 fee will be charged if not.

Mileage Policy*

For all hires a 150 mile per day mileage limit is in place - excess mileage will be charged. Please contact us for more information about this policy.
